CoopeTarrazu has a rich history of coffee in Costa Rica, established in 1960 and located in San Marcos within the respected Tarrazu region. They own and operate the largest wet mill in Costa Rica, and are focused towards the well-being of their members, as well as economic returns for their community. CoopeTarrazu own and run their own mill and process all of their members’ cherries from the regions’ surrounds.

This microlot is produced out of an extremely limited ‘F1’ early generation cultivar, from Tirra Estate, one of their many experimental farms used to conduct coffee research. T his hybrid cross between Sudan Rume and Sarchimore was developed with a focus to improve productivity & plant resistance while maximising cup quality. 

This naturally processed lot is a reflection of the quality and innovation of the microlot program of Coopetarrazu, and will lay foundations for the future of new cultivars for their member producers.
